Frostbite in foals...any info?

Vet came out once again and thought that it was probably an infection that broke through the skin. We continued the antibiotics as well as keeping the wounds clean. She finished up her round of antibiotics and about two days later, her knee swelled up. The vet was notified and told us to keep an eye on it. The next day, she appeared to have a pus-like discharge from the knee. Vet was again called and after examination, she was diagnosed as having frostbite on her knee and both hocks, and put on more antibiotics.
