~Ibuprofen~

I strolled out into the meadow at a steady pace. My stomach was swollen with my unborn foal.
My story was quite simple. I was living as carefree as ever with my herd. The lead stallion. Oh god that horse was just something. I fell head over heels for him and gladly accepted his offer to become lead mare. We had many great adventures. Then I came in heat. He seemed to go crazy. I remember that crazed look in his eyes. There was no stopping him. I was forced into doing something that I didn't want. And it happened more than once. I figured the first time that he couldn't help himself. But then it happened again. This time I was spooked and ran. I didn't care where I was going.

After the first few months I felt my stomach get heavy, and knew I was in foal. It was then that I knew I had to travel to the foaling grounds if I wanted to foal safely. So now here I am, a full 11 months and ready to give birth to a new form of life. Sweat beaded up along my neck and my eyes started to sag. I paced around the meadow over and over and over again. My teets felt heavy with milk and it dripped along the grass.
I let out a loud snort and lied down, ready to give brith.
My head rested on the soft green grass and my body tensed. The next moment the air was filled with a shrill scream. I grunted as my head banged back to the ground. My tail flicked over the ground as I took a deep gasp for air. The next few moments was filled with silence, but that was quickly broken with another ear-splitting scream. I was panting now. This wasn't right. I've never had a foal before, but I knew this wasn't right. I had seen other mares foal, and this just...wasn't right! I started to panic. My eyes went wide an I let out another scream. I was praying that no one was around, or I'd be dead for sure.

After almost an hour of screaming and sheer pain, I was up on my feet with the placenta hanging out of my rear. I was linking my foal, but there was something wrong.
It was dead.
