I shook my head slightly, sighing inwardly. Swinging my head slightly to look at the two new mares, I pricked my ears forward before swivelling one back behind me to listen to Sirrocco/

I sighed and looked around. This was all too much.

I started to shake uneasily. I nipped at myself and it went away.

~Prancer
I shook my head, sighing softly. Pricking my ears forward to look at the mares, I stomp a back hoof at flies. Lowering my head to the grass, l exhale loudly, not really hungry as I start nibbling at the grass.

Zephyr~

I gave an annoyed snort and clambered up onto a small and not-so-tall rock. "Hey, listen up!" I called to the mares.

~Prancer
Hearing his snort, I raised my head to look at him, ignoring my speeding heartbeat and pricking my ears forward, forcing my tense body to relax as I sidestepped a few steps towards him.

Zephyr~

I pinned my ears, trying to look bold. My eyes showed only but annoyance and my tail twitched back and forth. "I can offer you protection, but I won't guarantee it. I'm only one and have no experience with this type of thing." I glanced at Prancer warily and then swallowed. "Um. Yeah." I lowered my head and walked over to the small stream.

I blinked slightly as l listened to his words, looking down when he was done. Turning my head to watch Sirrocco chasing after a brightly-colored butterfly, l listened to Zephyr get down from the rock. Swinging my head to watch him go, I hesitated a moment before starting to walk after him slowly.

Zephyr~
I lowered my muzzle to the cold water and drank my fill. My ears swiveled back as I heard someone follow.

Pausing a moment about eight or nine feet from him, l swing my head to look behind me at Sirrocco, feeling a knawing anxiety in my stomach to keep him close to me. He was busy playing, and l shook my head slightly before looking back to Zephyr, walking forward again and stopping at the stream a few feet from him. Shaking my head so my mane fell into my eyes, I pause again, feeling awkward as I looked at him out of the corner of my eyes. l didn'y have much experience with starting conversations. Opening my mouth, I think of something to say but can't find something that wouldn't make me look incredibly stupid, so I closed my mouth again. An image of a fish out of water flashed through my mind and a small grin spread slowly across my face.

I let out a soft sigh and eat grass for a moment.

I watched her expression closely. I sighed deeply. "If there's something you want to say, just tell me." My face had the look of utter defeat. Suddenly I saw her smile. I shook my head, glancing around, confused.

[Epic fail...I must be brain dead.]

Seeing his confused expression the smile seemd to drop from my face. "I don't really know what to say," I said, looking down at the water, risking a sideways glance at him. "Just that... I just guess I'm glad that you're here," I said, my voice even softer, smoky.

I shrugged, flicking my tail. My ears swiveled in her direction and a smirk played up on my lips. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch that last part?"

I rolled my eyes slightly. "Then I guess you shall never know the last words uttered from my lips," I said with an old English accent, lowering my head to the water, though I smiled slightly as I drank.

I sighed and started to graze on some plump grass. I grinned between my teeth, even though I had no idea why, it just felt right.
